William Gambone’s journey to founding B.G. Tree Care began with an early start on a horse farm. The experience of working on the farm taught him hard work, responsibility, and a love for the outdoors. After those formative years, William spent four years as a carpenter, building houses—a skill he returned to throughout his life. But during this time, something else captured his interest: trees. He became fascinated with how to climb them, care for them, and understand their needs.

After his time in carpentry, William moved into commercial construction and excavation work, an industry he’s still involved with today. However, in 1998, his passion for trees led him to start B.G. Tree Care. As a hands-on owner, William has always been deeply involved in all aspects of the business, from climbing trees to solving clients’ tree care challenges.

William holds the prestigious ISA BCMA (Board Certified Master Arborist) certification and has been an ASCA (American Society of Consulting Arborists) Consulting Arborist for five years. In addition, he is a retired member of the International Operating Engineers, Local 542 PA, and actively participates in the ISA and ISA Penn-Del Chapter. He also contributes to industry blogs and attends yearly symposiums and conventions to stay current with the latest developments in tree care.
